Since 2012 the Luxembourg based law firm Arendt with offices in Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Moscow and New York has been supporting our association. It considerably contributed to develop a taste for photography and contemporary art in general in Luxembourg.
The European Month of Photography Arendt award honors every second year one visual artist who is part of the common exhibitions that the network is curating throughout Europe. ( see here for more )

Over the last decade, the firm has developed a passion for the art of photography by exhibiting artists from all over the world in its premises situated in Kirchberg, Luxembourg. Works of well-known artists such as David La Chapelle, Beat Streuli, Marie-Jo Lafontaine, Candida Höfer, Günther Förg and Valérie Belin were exhibited along with works of young talents. Progressively, Arendt & Medernach built up its own art collection, representative of the main currents in contemporary photography.
True to its passion, Arendt wishes to encourage open-mindedness, diversity and the sharing of emotions.
Artists that are selected for the Emop Arendt award are chosen among those being part of the projects by the eight partner cities of the “European Month of Photography“: Athens, Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Ljubljana, Luxembourg, Paris and Vienna. The winner is selected by a jury of the member cities.

Works of the winner together with the works of the other artists from the shortlist will be exhibited in the exhibition space of Arendt’s headquarters in Luxembourg  and some will enter the collection of the law firm
